Hello Everyone.....thank you for viewing this blog and passing on the info to others. We just received some needed Horse Blankets; thank you Isabelle, and Elke....we also need horse halters; for bigger heads.......if someone wishes to donate a stock trailer; that would be awesome........we move horses in the Spring for grazing and then back to Winter pastures in the Fall.........also a truck to pull the stock trailer is needed........we could use new feed buckets; the rubber kind that sit flat on the ground work best for us........and of course we need funding for all of the hay and grain that these loving souls eat....currently we are going to need 2500 bales of hay for the Winter months.....the donations are starting to come in; and please keep them coming........thank you, Dawn

A TIME TO CELEBRATE

Hello Everyone.......CELEBRATION TIME IS HERE!!!....we are finally up and running thanks to the efforts of Dorothy, Toby, David, CoCo, James, Heidi, and Heide.....when you scroll down below the donations button you will find a nice SHORT FILM of the Sanctuary and some of the animals here.....below there is a profile of me, Dawn Dickerson.........followed by pictures of some of the animals and these photos will change as time goes on.........for now, please follow my profile to the right of this page for animal stories.....i am grateful to all of you that wish to donate or help out in your own way........and one of the best ways is to get the message out and have others check out this blog.........with much love/light/peace to each and everyone of you.........dawn

I started this Sanctuary about 10 years ago rescuing sheep and llamas. Over the next few years it has grown into a Farm Sanctuary with an average of 45 to 50 animals in care. Currently we have 13 horses, 3 draft horses, one donkey, 2 llamas, a flock of sheep, 2 goats, 2 dogs, 5 cats, and chickens. Each animal soul comes to us with emotional and/or physical disabilities that we help to alleviate with different modalities of healing and lots of love. We specialize in seniors and allow them to live their life in full with dignity. I have a degree in Animal Husbandry with a major in Equine Science and management; along with 40 years experience with horses on every level. 

We Started this blog in order to share some interesting events of animal behavior and some humorous stories that occur here at the Sanctuary. We also need donations at this time in order to keep this sanctuary running as my personal funds have been exhausted. It is hoped that these animals can live out their lives here at the sanctuary with the necessary funding. I wish to thank each and  every person for sharing this experience and for helping with loving donations.
